aung.robo to the OK Hotel for May’s 1T Art Walk!
About the Artist
aung.robo, is a self-taught, mixed media, Seattle transplant from the Southwest. Heavily influenced by postmodernists, and abstract expressionists, aung is fond of incorporating found objects or recycled art into her work. The emphasis in variety and rhythm instills itself as an independently strong motif in her work.
She creates self-contained conundrums with the juxtaposition and tension of texture, color, and subjects; which are peculiar by their complimentary, and vibrant nature towards their opposite counterparts. Her goal is to streamline the finished product from the areas where we lose ourselves. All is relevant: chaos, constants, wonderment, evolution, repression, love and every instance we encounter.
Her newest series, face, Mannequin face, is expected to be completed by May 2012.
